Vice-President and Treasurer


Bernd Beyer was appointed as Vice-President and Treasurer in October of 2015. Based in Montreal, he oversees CN’s Treasury and Taxation activities.

Mr. Beyer came to CN after 12 years with Rio Tinto, a leading global mining and metals company. At Rio Tinto (and Alcan, until it was acquired by Rio Tinto), he held various positions; most recently he was Regional Treasurer for the Americas. Previously, he was with the Bank of Montreal in Toronto and a major accounting firm in Montreal.

Mr. Beyer is a Canadian Chartered Accountant since 1995 and holds an MBA from McGill University.

MOHIT BHAT

Vice-President, Customer Solutions and Innovation


Mohit Bhat was appointed Vice-President, Customer Solutions and Innovation in September 2021. Mohit is responsible for Customer Solutions, Digital Platforms, and leads CN’s Innovation and Artificial Intelligence, while overseeing cloud transformation at CN.

Mohit and his team help CN’s Intermodal and Rail Centric Supply Chain units achieve their business goals by designing and building end-to-end digital supply chain solutions, that improve customer experience, enable strategic and sustainable growth, and ensure CN is future-ready.

Mohit is a strong technologist, with proven practical experience with digital technologies. Prior to CN, Mohit worked for over 15 years in various multinational technology firms in Europe, Middle East and Asia regions. During this tenure he held progressively responsible roles, using his technical expertise to lead companies through complex business transformations to solve complex business challenges in logistics and energy management industries.

Mohit holds a bachelor’s degree in engineering and computer sciences from Pune University in India.

DAN BRESOLIN

DAN BRESOLIN

Vice-President, Intermodal


Dan Bresolin was appointed Vice-President, Intermodal in January 2020. He is based in Brampton, ON.

Currently representing a substantial portion of CN’s revenues, Intermodal is critical to CN’s current and future success. In this expanded role, Dan will focus on driving growth in both Domestic and International Intermodal and will be responsible for all components of CN’s International and Domestic portfolios, including regional sales, marketing, brokerage and CN WorldWide freight forwarding services.

Since he joined CN in 1999, Dan has taken on increasing responsibilities through his various roles as Assistant Vice-President Intermodal, Assistant Vice-President International Intermodal, Director of Marketing, Intermodal International and Director of Sales of both Strategic Sales and Domestic Intermodal.

As a qualified Rail Conductor and Intermodal Crane Operator, Dan takes great pride in his knowledge and experience in rail operations and in helping add value for Intermodal customers.

PAUL BUTCHER

PAUL BUTCHER

Vice-President, Investor Relations


Paul Butcher was appointed Vice-President, Investor Relations in July 2016. In this role, he leads the Company’s investor engagement initiatives and communications and he serves as corporate spokesperson and first point of contact with shareholders, sell-side analysts and the broader investment community. Prior to his most recent appointment, Paul had been Senior Manager of Investor Relations since November 2009.

Paul joined CN in 1993, initially working as a project officer in Financial Planning before moving to Marketing in 1999, serving in the Revenue Planning, Metals and Minerals, as well as Intermodal groups. He was involved in key growth projects at CN such as the new container port at the Port of Prince Rupert, among others.

Before joining CN, Paul worked two years as an economist in Ottawa at Informetrica Limited.

Paul holds a Bachelor and Masters degree in Economics from the University of Montreal.

Paul serves on the board of the Quebec Chapter of the Canadian Investor Relations Institute since 2017.

CRISTINA CIRCELLI

CRISTINA CIRCELLI

Vice-President, Corporate Secretary and General Counsel


Cristina Circelli was appointed Vice-President, Corporate Secretary & General Counsel in September 2022, and is based in Montreal.

Her responsibilities include overseeing corporate governance matters and providing counsel on legal requirements and best practice recommendations to CN’s Board of Directors and Executive Team. She also has oversight of compliance with securities laws in Canada and the United States and disclosure matters, and provides support in financial transactions, pension and human resources matters.

Prior to joining CN in 1994 as General Counsel, Ms. Circelli was a partner at Montreal law firm Mackenzie Gervais, where she was involved in general corporate and commercial practice, including mergers and acquisitions and corporate reorganizations, in addition to specializing in institutional and corporate financing. Ms. Circelli holds Civil and Common Law Degrees from McGill University and has attended the ICD Directors Education Program. She is a past member of the board of directors of the Canadian Investor Relations Institute.

 
CARRIE-ANN CROZIER

CARRIE-ANN CROZIER

Vice-President, Multimodal Operations


Carrie-Ann Crozier was appointed Vice-President, Multimodal Operations in June 2022. She is responsible for providing best-in-class service to CN customers through the company’s Intermodal, Iron Ore, Autoport and Transloading operations.

Carrie has been with CN for more than 21 years. She has an extensive background and a proven track record for her success within many functions of the Company, including Intermodal, Transportation, Bulk and Commodity Supply Chain as well as Network Operations and Planning. Carrie was most recently General Manager, Operations for Yellowhead and Champlain Divisions.

Carrie has a bachelor's degree in Economics and Political Science from Concordia University in Montreal, QC.

JANET DRYSDALE

Vice-President, Financial Planning and Sustainability


Janet Drysdale is a seasoned and versatile executive with over 25 years of cross-functional leadership in the transportation industry.

Janet was appointed Vice-President, Financial Planning and Sustainability in June 2022. Prior appointments included Vice-President Sustainability, Vice-President Financial Planning, Vice-President Corporate Development, and Vice-President, Investor Relations.

Janet oversees all financial planning and analysis activities, including CN’s operating and capital budgets, revenue planning and forecasting, profitability analysis, costing and economic regulation, as well as acquisitions and integration. Janet will also continue to drive CN’s integrated sustainability strategy, overseeing the Company’s ESG disclosures, Climate Action Plan, and related stakeholder programs. Janet is an independent director of Rumo S.A., Brazil’s largest freight railway and is the executive sponsor of the Women’s Employee Resource Group at CN.

Janet has long been an advocate for the rail industry, North America’s critical supply chains, women in transportation, and the transition to a low carbon economy.

Janet has an Honours Bachelor of Science from Queen’s University and Master of Business Administration from McGill University. In 2020, Janet was recognized WXN as one of Canada’s Top 100 Most Powerful Women in the executive leadership category, and by Railway Age for her leadership, collaboration, and innovation. In 2021, Janet completed the Competent Boards ESG program and certification (GCB.D).

SALVATORE FORGIONE

SALVATORE FORGIONE

Vice-President and Corporate Comptroller


Sam Forgione was appointed Vice-President and Corporate Comptroller in July 2016. Prior to that, he held the position of Vice-President, Investor Relations since March 2016.

Mr. Forgione is responsible for CN’s financial statements, accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll among other areas.

He has been a Chartered Accountant since 1990 and began his career at CN in 1994 in Corporate Accounting, where he held positions of increasing responsibility. In 2001, he became Director of Corporate Development, focusing mainly on mergers and acquisitions. In 2011, Sam rejoined the Accounting department as Assistant Comptroller, General Accounting, before being appointed Assistant Comptroller, Revenue Management in 2012, and Assistant Comptroller, Financial Reporting in 2013.

Mr. Forgione is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) and has a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a graduate degree in Accountancy from Concordia University in Montreal.

MARTIN GUIMOND

Vice-President, Transportation, Eastern Region


Martin Guimond was appointed Vice-President, Eastern Region in June 2022, based in Montreal, QC. He is responsible for portions of CN’s network, from Ontario to Nova Scotia.

Martin joined CN in 2017 as Vice-President, Multimodal Operations and was responsible for all intermodal terminal operations, including CNTL trucking fleet. Prior to joining CN, he held progressively senior roles at British American Tobacco in a variety of areas, including operations and supply chain, sales, marketing, warehouse and manufacturing plant management.

Martin holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a specialization in operations and production management from the École des Hautes Études Commerciales (HEC) in Montreal.

MARK GRUBBS

MARK GRUBBS

Mark Grubbs was appointed Vice-President Mechanical in April 2022 and is based in Homewood, Illinois.

Mark leads all activities related to CN’s locomotive and railcar maintenance operations with a focus on service reliability and safety.

Mark has more than 25 years of experience in the rail industry. He started his career as a Journeyman Carman and has progressively held more senior roles at class 1 railroads, most recently as Chief Mechanical Officer and Assistant Vice-President at BNSF Railway. Mark is known for his leadership in safety and developing and sustaining positive and cohesive relationships while driving productivity, efficiency and safe work practices.

Mark holds a MBA from Texas Christian University and has a Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Leadership from Purdue University.

President TransX


Mike Jones is the President of TransX Group of Companies, a leading provider of premier integrated transportation services across North America. CN acquired TransX on October 30, 2018.

Mike started his career with TransX in 1988 as part of a management trainee program. He progressively held more senior roles, including Linehaul Manager, Director of Linehaul, and Vice President of Operations, prior to his current role.

Over Mike’s 30 years at TransX, he has been instrumental in growing TransX from a fleet of 200 trucks in 1992 to more than 4000 trucks and trailers, 2600 employees, and 11 different locations across Canada and the USA.

Mike holds an MBA and an Electrical Engineering degree from the University of Manitoba.

BRENT LAING

Vice-President, Engineering


Brent Laing was appointed Vice-President, Engineering in June 2022. He has more than 32 years of experience in the railway industry at Canadian Pacific where he last held the position of Vice-President and Chief Engineer. After Brent left CP in 2016, he started his own engineering consulting firm covering the rail sector.

Brent holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering and a master’s degree in Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan. He is based in Edmonton, AB.

KELLY LEVIS

KELLY LEVIS

Vice-President, Industrial Products


Kelly Levis was appointed Vice-President, Industrial Products in October 2018, based in Montreal. In this role, she leads the industrial products division, which oversees forest products and metals and minerals markets. Prior to that, she had been Assistant Vice-President, Industrial Products since July 2015.

Ms. Levis joined CN in 1997 after seven years in the pharmaceutical industry. She began her career at CN as a commodity manager in CN’s Petroleum and Chemicals business unit and moved into Sales in January 2000 after being transferred to Chicago. She subsequently served as Director of Sales and Pricing for CN’s international freight forwarding subsidiary CN WorldWide Inc, Director of Supply Chain and Director Sales US.

Ms. Levis holds a MBA from the University of Chicago at Chicago, and a Bachelor of Commerce with a Major in Statistics & Decision Sciences from Concordia University in Montreal.

Jamie Lockwood was appointed Vice-President, Strategy and Supply Chain in June 2022. He is based in Montreal, QC.

Jamie joined CN’s Finance Department in 2008, holding positions with progressively increasing responsibilities, from Senior Accountant to Chief, Internal Audit. He brings considerable knowledge of the railway and financial management as well as strong process improvement skills. Jamie has a passion for improving the railway and finding new solutions to on-going challenges, resulting in strategic contributions to CN.

Jamie holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accountancy (2004) and a Graduate Diploma in Accountancy (2006) from Concordia University (Montreal, Quebec). He is a member of the Quebec Order of Chartered Professional Accountants.

 
KEITH REARDON

KEITH REARDON

Senior Vice-President, Consumer Product Supply Chain


Keith Reardon was appointed Senior Vice-President, Consumer Product Supply Chain in August 2018, based in Toronto. He is responsible for the execution and expansion of CN’s intermodal and automotive businesses, leading the commercial teams and non-rail operations in his supply chains, and adapting all last-mile services for customers. Mr. Reardon oversees all aspects of the Company’s domestic and international intermodal and automotive activities, as well as freight forwarding services in North America and Asia, and CN’s Supply Chain Sales groups, corporate revenue planning, and business development.

Prior to his appointment, he had been Vice-President of Intermodal and Automotive since January of 2017. In 2012, Mr. Reardon was named Vice-President of Intermodal Services. In 2009, Mr. Reardon was appointed Vice-President of Supply Chain Solutions, where he was responsible for the Automotive and Iron Ore business units and CN’s non-rail transportation services including transloading, freight forwarding and warehousing, just to name a few. He also directed many supply chain and business development initiatives for CN – working closely with CN customers and partners. Previously, he was Assistant Vice-President of CN Transloading Operations, where he managed more than 80 CN-owned warehousing and distribution facilities.

Passionate about logistics, Mr. Reardon has more than 25 years of experience in the field; he also held senior positions with outside firms in the world of logistics for a number of years. Mr. Reardon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Marketing and an MBA from the University of North Florida.

Buck (Robert) Rogers was appointed Vice-President, Petroleum and Chemicals in April 2019, based in Homewood, IL. He oversees sales and marketing for CN's Petroleum and Chemicals business unit.

Previously, he held positions of increasing responsibility in Sales and Marketing including Assistant Vice-President Petroleum and Chemicals, Director of Sales Petroleum and Chemicals, Director of Regional Sales in Corporate Marketing and as a National Account Manager. He most recently served as Senior Director, Mechanical since January 2019.

Mr. Rogers has been involved in the rail industry for over 25 years gaining experience in both operations and sales. A proud veteran of the United States Air Force, he completed a Master of Science in Transportation from the University of Denver in 2018.

Rance Randle was appointed Senior Vice-President, Mechanical and Engineering in June 2022. He is responsible for the Mechanical and Engineering functions.

Rance has more than 25 years of Class 1 railroad leadership experience and a proven track record with a forward-looking approach to enhance customer and employee experiences. Prior to this role, Rance was Vice-President, Network Operations at CN since 2020.

Rance holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Texas.

Derek Taylor was appointed Vice-President, Southern Region in June 2022.

Prior to this role, he was Vice-President, Operational Excellence and was responsible for driving continuous improvement across CN’s key operating metrics.

Derek is a proven strong operator with over 20 years of experience at CN. He joined the Company as Management Trainee in Winnipeg in 2000 and moved to progressively more senior roles. He has held senior leadership roles across the organization, including Vice-President, Eastern Region and before that Vice-President, Southern Region. He has also served as General Manager in Fond du Lac, WI, and in Homewood, IL.

Derek holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from DePauw University in Indiana.

JAMES THOMPSON

Vice-President, Transportation, Western Region


James Thompson was appointed Vice-President, Transportation, Western Region in April 2019, based in Edmonton. Most recently, he had been General Manager Alberta Region since 2016 and Superintendent Network Operations since 2015.

Mr. Thompson has worked for CN for over 20 years and has held positions of increasing responsibility in CN’s operation. At the start of his career, he worked as a Track Maintainer in Ontario and from there, has steadily worked throughout Ontario, Manitoba and Alberta honing skills of large team management, operational efficiency, contract negotiation, and budget management. Mr. Thompson has particular interest and deep experience in developing and implementing management training with an emphasis on safety culture.

PATRICK WHITEHEAD

PATRICK WHITEHEAD

Senior Vice-President, Network Operations


Patrick Whitehead was appointed Senior Vice-President, Network Operations in June 2022. He is responsible for leading CN’s operating plan, performance, and long term resource and asset planning, and our dispatching centres.

Patrick is an accomplished executive with 28 years of railroad experience, 24 of which have been in management positions in Transportation and Mechanical operations. He joined CN in 2021 as General Manager in Chicago. Prior to joining CN, Patrick was Vice-President, Transportation for Norfolk Southern Railway.

Patrick holds a Master of Science degree in Transportation Management from the University of Denver.
