The CN Winter Plan is prepared and submitted in accordance with, and as required by, section 151.01(2) of the Canada Transportation Act. It is an in depth review of the many steps we take to prepare for the challenges of operating a railway in a northern climate and is presented to the Minister each year in the fall. The plan details comprehensive, proactive actions, strategies and innovations designed to help meet customer demand safely and efficiently by optimizing operations during the coming winter months.
