Port NOLA collaborates with three major mega-container carrier alliances that offer direct shipping to and from Asia, Europe (including the Mediterranean), as well as Central and South America. Once the cargo arrives, terminal operators Ports America and New Orleans Terminal seamlessly connect with CN's extensive rail services. In preparation to meet the evolving demands of the industry for years to come, Port NOLA is building their Louisiana International Terminal project in Violet, Louisiana which will deliver a new, state-of-the-art container terminal with no vessel size restriction. The inauguration will be in 2025 with one berth open in late 2028.
