MONTREAL, April 30, 2019 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- CN (TSX: CNR) (NYSE: CNI) announced it is making a donation of $75,000 to the Canadian Red Cross in support of relief efforts to aid flood victims in hard-hit areas of Ontario, Quebec, and New Brunswick.

“Many residents have been hit hard by spring flooding in Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick. In these difficult times, the Canadian Red Cross provides much-needed relief to flood victims, and CN would like to thank all disaster response volunteers who are helping our neighbours,” said JJ Ruest, president and chief executive officer of CN, “CN stands together with the communities affected by the flooding.”

CN is also encouraging its employees to donate to the Canadian Red Cross via the CN Employees’ and Pensioners’ Community Fund and will match their donations.
