We have 13 Dangerous Goods Officers strategically located at major terminals across our network. Our officers are equipped with tools and resources to provide 24/7 emergency response and hazmat expertise to company personnel and local first responders during an emergency.

CN’s Dangerous Goods Officers also offer emergency planners guidance on hazardous materials, emergency response and training.

CN’s system protection model consists of emergency response assets, specially trained personnel, specialized contractors and industry partners.

Among the assets and resources displayed in the map below are firefighting trailers equipped with foam which can be deployed during flammable liquid incidents, as well as transfer trailers which are units containing equipment such as pumps, hoses, and other materials necessary to mitigate a dangerous goods incident.
