Advance Arrival Notification

Introduction to Mobile Reporting Services at CN and Advanced Arrival Notifications

Safe operations and serving our customers will always be at the heart of CN. As we strive to develop and implement better ways of creating value for our customers, new technology is advancing innovations in safety, reliability and predictability.

Mobile Reporting Services – provide train crews and field decision markers with near real-time work plans and instructions for improved timeliness, accuracy and reliability.

What it means for you…

Train crews, equipped with handheld devices, will be able to advise you when they will be arriving at your facility and if there are any changes to the arrival plan. This new notification, called Advance Arrival Notification will let you know when your facility is next to be served by our crews. This will assist you to prepare for the crew’s arrival.

When will it be available?

The Advance Arrival Notification is currently being rolled out in locations across our network and should be progressively available before the end of October 2019, in locations where cellular service is available. We will send you an email to let you know when the service is available for your facility.

How can you sign up?

You can subscribe to the Advance Arrival Notification on the My Rail Service tool located on CN One, CN One tool. Please consult our job aid on how to subscribe to these notifications.
