Thanks to Aaron Knuth’s dedication and that of other local volunteer parents, 240 young band members got to march in the 128th Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena, CA in 2017, alongside bands from Japan and Mexico.

“That’s a huge honor for them,” says Aaron, who joined CN in 1995. “I played trumpet in high school there, so I wanted to help.”

In 2016, Aaron organized a golf event that raised over $10,000. “We constantly need money to move the instruments, and for hotels when the students are on the road. Receiving my first CN Railroaders in the Community grant was incredible.”
