CN will complete systems integration with the Quebec Railway Corp. (QRC) by February 1, 2009
Effective February 1, 2009, we will be introducing single-line routing, integrating our invoicing and simplifying supplemental services tariffs on the Ottawa Central Railway (OCR). These changes will be effective March 1, 2009 on the New Brunswick East Coast Railway (NBEC) and Chemin de fer de la Matépedia et du Golfe (CFMG).
- Single invoice
All invoices will be issued by CN and there will be one remittance process through a single point of contact. Invoices for local shipments prior to February 1, 2009 for the OCR and March 1, 2009 for NBEC and CFMG should continue to be processed and paid to the issuing carrier. - Optional services
The CFQ 9000 tariff will be cancelled and completely replaced by our Optional Services Tariff CN 9000 on February 1, 2009 on the OCR and March 1, 2009 on the NBEC and CFMG. - Fuel surcharge
Those of you who ship with CN today are familiar with the fuel surcharge applied to the linehaul invoice. After February 1, 2009 on the OCR and March 1, 2009 on the NBEC and CFMG, this will be assessed on local-to-local shipments as well. Please consult the fuel surcharge tariffs. - Customer contact
CN's Sales Center in Winnipeg will handle customer support for former QRC customers. We look forward to serving you. Call us at our toll-free number: 1-866-9CN-RAIL (1-866-926-7245).
Our goal is to be clear and transparent on the upcoming changes and we are providing advance notice so you can plan for any necessary changes to your business processes.
