Refer a CN Friend and increase your grant money!

Are you a CN Railroader in the Community? Do you know a CN colleague, retiree or family member who could lend a helping hand or who volunteers but doesn’t know about the program? Encourage them to become a CN Railroader in the Community and you could receive more grants for your charity!

There is no better time to become a CN Railroader in the Community. Not only does your time make a difference to a needy charity or a youth amateur sports team but spreading the word about the program can increase the money they receive!

How it works:

  1. Refer a new applicant to the CN Railroaders in the Community program between May 25, 2015 and November 30, 2015.
  2. If the applicant qualifies for a grant, his or her charity or youth amateur sports team gets a donation and your charity or youth sports team receives an additional grant equal to the amount it originally qualified for.
  3. Refer as many CN friends as you like within a calendar year. The more applicants you refer who qualify for a grant, the more money your charity receives.

Win $5,000 for your favourite charity!

On top of the grant CN already gives your charity or youth sports team in recognition of your valuable volunteer work, you could win an additional $5,000 for your charitable organization. How far can the money go? Just ask some of our previous winners who helped their charities in inspiring ways.

One prize of $5,000 will be drawn each in CN Western Region, CN Eastern Region and CN Southern Region for employees and in each Region for CN retirees.

Here’s How:
If you volunteer a minimum of 40 hours with a community-based, charitable organization or youth sports team and qualify for a CN employee volunteer grant or CN retiree grant between January 1, 2015 and November 30, 2015, you will be automatically entered in a draw in your region to win a prize of $5,000 for that charity or youth sports team. Winners will be contacted in December 2015.

Are you eligible for a CN Railroaders in the Community grant?

You qualify for a grant if:
