Take advantage of CN's North American coverage for all your grain shipments. We are one of the largest movers of grain and grain products, efficiently linking elevators and producing facilities with local markets and with ports on the Atlantic, Pacific and Gulf coasts.
Most western Canadian grain exported offshore is moved from a well-positioned system of high-throughput elevators on CN's lines in the grain-growing areas of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba to port terminal elevators that load vessels at Vancouver and Prince Rupert, BC; or Thunder Bay, ON.
In the U.S., the CN rail system is well positioned in the heart of important grain-producing territory. Thanks to our rail network that gives you access to key ports, we can transport your grain products to supply both the domestic and import/export markets.

We can help you extend your global reach
Our break bulk CargoFlo facilities at Edmonton, Chicago, and other cities in North America facilitate grain shipments for export. On the west coast, we connect to the grain export terminal at Prince Rupert, situated at the closest port to Asia. At the Gulf of Mexico, we connect to the grain export terminals at Reserve, Destrehan and Helvetia in Louisiana.
We can connect you to consumer markets
In the liquid biofuels industry, we're doing our part to transport ethanol close to the consumer markets. Our network of CargoFlo facilities are strategically located throughout Canada and the U.S., near major urban centers.
