2016 Glenlea Grain Facility

G3 Canada Limited opens grain facility in Glenlea, MB

Making Canadian grain producers more competitive in global markets requires investment and partnerships.

On Oct. 5, CN and G3 Canada Limited joined together to celebrate the opening of G3 Canada’s new high-efficiency grain elevator in Glenlea, MB. CN will serve the elevator, carrying grain products to gateways on Canada’s west coast for export.

The new facility is located just south of Glenlea, off Highway 75. Glenlea is a community approximately 30 minutes south of Winnipeg.

The grain elevator features 34,000 tonnes of storage and cleaning facilities. A 134-car loop track facilitates fast and efficient car loading at over 1,600 tonnes per hour. The facility is capable of loading a full unit train while in continuous motion.

This is a significant occasion for G3, and these facilities are a great reflection of our overall vision, which is to build a smarter path from farmers’ fields to global markets.

Brett Malkoske,
Vice-President, Business Development & Communications

We’re pleased to work alongside partners like G3 Canada to deliver high-quality service to our customers. Continuing to invest in modern, high-capacity infrastructure for grain gives grain producers an advantage, making them more competitive in their end markets.
