Storage Guarantee process for intermodal containers

Important - CN has moved to a 100% eBusiness storage guarantee requirement for all Canadian and US terminals. (No faxed or emailed guarantees will be accepted.)

Guarantee storage for a loaded import container

CN's eBusiness tool, Intermodal Shipment Status, allows you to view online the status of your storage guarantees for all your shipments. In addition, the tool can be used to query expected shipments. You can also determine the first day of storage and the amount owing (if applicable). The amount owing must show a $0 balance prior to arranging pick-up.

The only pre-requisite to using Intermodal Shipment Status to guarantee storage is to be a registered CN eBusiness user.

CN Customers that have approved credit will be able to guarantee in advance. Customers that do not have credit with CN will have a credit card option to pay for the amount due.
