Reserve a CN Intermodal Unit

To reserve an intermodal unit place your order up until 15:00 local time the day prior to loading by emailing  Retail Orders with the following information:

• Shipper’s name
• Exact location of the loading party or pick-up location
• Shipper’s address
• Date and time the empty is required
• Type of equipment
• Requested delivery date and time
• Drop or live load
• Description of the commodity
• Identification of consignee or payer of freight
• Special instructions for the driver

Please note:

• All equipment requests are subject to availability.
• All use of CN equipment is subject to rules and regulations found in CN 9100.
• The empty order numbers will be emailed to you the following morning by 09:00.
• The Empty Order number is required at the gate to obtain your CN empty.
