Domestic Train Service for Steamship Boxes

  • Reservations are required only if both the origin and the destination of the box are CN inland terminals.
  • Send an email to Reefer with the following information:
    • Requested date of train service
    • Quantity and size of containers
    • Origin terminal (example: Brampton, Montreal, Calgary)
    • Destination terminal (example: Saskatoon, Brampton, Moncton)
  • The Intermodal OSM reservation desk is open from Monday-Friday, between 07:00-16:30.
  • Customers require a reservation and booking number before arriving at the in-gate.
  • Customers may in-gate a load for domestic service prior to cutoff on the day of the reservation.
  • Customers may in-gate an empty for domestic service up to 4 days prior to the reservation, except in Vancouver, where it is on the same day.
  • Reservations may be cancelled without penalty up until 08:00 the day prior to the reservation day. Cancellations after this time and no shows will each be subject to a fee as per CN 9100.
