Sept. 9, 2019 –While impact from Hurricane Dorian is still present across Atlantic Canada, CN Halifax terminal and the Port of Halifax, have resumed full operations as of this morning.

The Port of Halifax worked with Nova Scotia Power overnight last night to address a voltage drop as a result of wind damage to Nova Scotia Power equipment outside of the terminal – power has been fully restored. Gate, Vessel and Rail operations are ongoing from 0800hrs today.

Ferry service to Newfoundland has resumed as of this morning as well, we are anticipating some delay as we work to process the back log on dock with approximately 2 days of traffic on hand.

We thank our customers and partners for their patience and understanding as we have worked through the necessary recovery protocols. Customers with delayed traffic as a result of the weather impact have/will be advised so alternate arrangements can be made as necessary.

Customers who require immediate assistance or further information can contact their Account Manager or Customer Service Representative.
