MONTREAL, Nov. 29, 2016 /CNW/ - CN (TSX: CNR) (NYSE: CNI) announced today that the 12th edition of the CN Canadiens Alumni Challenge raised C$360,000 at a friendly hockey game which took place on Saturday. The proceeds will benefit charitable organizations supported by the CN Employees' and Pensioners' Community Fund (CN Community Fund), notably the Service d'entraide de Charny

On Saturday, at Pavillon de la jeunesse, CN's hockey club played against a team of former Montreal Canadiens including Stéphane Richer, Francis Bouillon, Patrice Brisebois and Chris Nilan, with Guy Lafleur as head coach.

The CN Canadiens Almuni Challenge is the CN Community Fund's largest fundraiser. Since its first edition, in 2002, the event has raised more than C$3 million for charities across North America.
