• Multi-purpose flat cars come in lengths up to 27 metres and a capacity of 65 to 103 tonnes.
• Standard gondolas have features such as drop ends, nailable steel floors and lengths from 16 to 20 metres.
• Bulkhead cars can transport aluminum and steel products, carrying loads of 68 to 100 tonnes.
• Marine containers are 12.2 metres long with a usable cube of 67.8 cubic metres.

• The Port of Vancouver, a key gateway between Asia-Pacific and North American markets, is currently handling thousands of tonnes of pipe and pipe products.

• The Port of Prince Rupert is the site of a high-capacity container gateway. Phase 1, now completed, has an estimated capacity of 500,000 TEUs, with up to two million-TEU capacity in the future.
