Crossing Safety

Getting trapped on a railway crossing is a matter of life and death. It can take up to two kilometres for a train to stop. If you are trapped on a railway crossing, you will be, quite literally, stopped dead in our tracks.

CN is dedicated to improving crossing safety across its system to help save lives and prevent injuries — through its All Aboard for Safety community-education program.

The results show that we are on the right track. The number of fatalities and injuries at or near railroad lines and property over the past 10 years has declined. That's something we can all count on.
