October 27, 2010 - We are pleased to announce that effective 17:45 on November 1st, 2010, Moncton Intermodal Terminal will feature after-hour gate service.
During the regular terminal hours (Monday to Friday: 6:15 – 17:45, Saturday & Sunday 6:15 – 15:00) carters will continue to ingate and outgate equipment at the main office.
After hours, the drivers should pull up to the appropriate gate, go to the video intercom at the side of the building, press the button and request an ingate or outgate. Just like with a regular gate transaction, a pickup number will be required to outgate equipment and a reservation will be required to drop off equipment. Cameras in the gate lanes will photograph the equipment as it moves in and out of the terminal.
There will be no crane service after hours – drivers will only be able to pick-up containers already loaded on chassis. Customers should therefore ensure that there are always enough chassis in the yard for all containers coming off trains.
Drivers can pickup a copy of the interchange receipt in the main office during regular hours.
Since the terminal will not be staffed after-hours, if your driver encounters a problem with the gate please call 1-866-741-6087.
As a reminder, all movement in and out of the yard must be reported, including bobtail moves and chassis drops.
