David Ferryman
Vice-President, System Engineering

David W. Ferryman was appointed Vice-President, System Engineering in August 2005.

Mr. Ferryman was named Division Engineer after the CN / Illinois Central (IC) merger. While working in this capacity, he obtained his Professional Engineer's Certification from the State of Mississippi. Since 2000, Mr. Ferryman occupied the positions of Assistant General Manager and General Manager in Troy, Michigan, prior to being appointed as Chief Engineer U.S. Region in 2003.

David Ferryman started his railway career with Burlington Northern (BN) as an Engineering intern in 1988, and re-joined the company after graduating with a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from Colorado State University in 1992. After serving in a variety of jobs at BN, Mr. Ferryman joined IC in 1997 as the Assistant Superintendent of Engineering out of Jackson, Mississippi.

Mr. Ferryman is currently based in Homewood, IL.
