How do I receive a copy of CN's annual report?

An online copy of CN's annual report is available on our website in the Investors section. To receive a paper copy, call our toll-free number at 1-888-888-5909 or send your request by email.

Does CN offer passenger services?

CN is a freight railroad. For information about passenger services, please contact VIA Rail Canada at www.viarail.ca or call 1-888-VIA-RAIL.

Where can I research CN's history and archives?

Requests for archival and genealogical information should be sent to Library and Archives of Canada where CN's archives are located. CN's historical collection forms one of the largest, single record groups there (Record Group 30). Company records go back to Canada's first railway in 1836.

Depending on the nature of the research required, it will take about six or eight weeks to provide a response to your inquiry. Where can I research IC's history and archives?

A good source of information about IC's history is the Illinois Central Railroad Historical Society which is dedicated to the preservation of historical and educational information about IC and the many predecessor railroads that have been part of the IC system. The Society is an educational non-profit organization chartered by the State of Illinois.Their website is located at www.icrrhistorical.org.
